The Hacker Games is a competitive 48-hour Hackathon consisting of a variety of the UK’s top product engineering teams with the sole intention of encouraging innovation and raising awareness for some awesome causes. This will provide a unique opportunity to compete against some of the best in the business and see how you stack up against the competition in the current technology market.
The first charity we are working with is SpecialEffect who make custom gaming equipment for children with disabilities.
The debut event will kick off in January 2017. There will be 10 competing teams of up to five competitors in each team. The theme will be centred around digital products targeted at disability charities.
I’m Samm, co-founder of the charity hack event called
“The Hacker Games”
Knowit created this event as we noticed many meet ups often lacked an interactive element to them and sometimes restricted how much you could engage with the topics being discussed. By running this large hack event Knowit aims to bring together an amazing array of product development teams from all sectors and tech stacks who can challenge and learn from one another.
We founded Knowit because we believed the recruitment industry needed to change. Being unique, innovative and doing things differently to the rest was a key part of this ideology. Over the last few years we have been immensely fortunate to build long standing relationships with some of the coolest companies in the world. We wanted to use this incredible network to do give something back to the community but for a charitable cause. The Hacker Games is about putting some of the best minds and companies in a room to compete whilst helping super causes. Thank you for being a part of it.
If you would like the opportunity to enter your company into future Hacker Games events please register your details and one of the team will come back to you.
